I just decided to call it configure because that’s in line with my use case at the moment, but apply is actually a really good name for it! This is something that Swift could have supported at the language level; sadly, now it’s fallen behind Kotlin by at least one cool point. But it is striking how similar these sort of clean paradigms are between the two languages, isn’t it?
